Our Curriculum – Love, Learn, Live

Our vision states that we believe in providing children with the foundations for living in our world through a range of learning opportunities and challenges that excite them as learners.

Our curriculum at Burlish Park is underpinned by the National Curriculum (2014). We will provide the children with the basic tools of reading, writing and understanding number, balanced alongside a wealth of other subjects. We aim to deliver a progressive and connected curriculum that will help children to strengthen their understanding and therefore deepening their learning.

Teachers deliver strong sequences of learning which motivate and engage, both in the classroom and beyond. We enrich the curriculum with first-hand experiences such as visits, trips or speakers with the intention of providing knowledge and skills, as well as building aspirations to be learners for life.

Through their learning experiences children will be academically, emotionally, socially and physically prepared for life in our world.
