Meet the team

Meet our Nursery team.

We have a fantastic team at Burlish Park Nursery. Our staff are highly qualified and experienced in the Early Years.  Their knowledge provides a happy and safe environment, which promotes a high quality education and dependable care for your child.

Miss Tracey Girling
Nursery Manager

I have 25 year’s experience working as a Nursery Nurse. I previously worked in an education-based Nursery before becoming a Manager of a private Montessori day nursery.

I have worked at Burlish Park Primary School for seven years, working in Reception and later being appointed Nursery Manager.

I love being involved in the arts and crafts activities with the children in Nursery.  I often take advice from the children on how to improve my creations!

When not at Nursery, I enjoy spending time in my greenhouse and garden. I also enjoy visiting the seaside with my family and eating fish and chips on the beach.

Mrs Lisa Hurdman

I have worked within Early Years settings since 2000, when I worked as an apprentice and achieved my Level 2 and 3 in Childcare.

I have been a part of the Burlish team since 2020 and have recently joined the Nursery team.

In my spare time I enjoy taking my dog for a walk and spending time with my family.

Mrs Sharon Shore

I have worked at Burlish Park Primary School as a Teaching Assistant for 17 years. I love being part of the Nursery team.

My favourite time in Nursery is taking part in outdoor learning. We do a variety of outdoor activities, including sand and water play, building and role play. I love seeing the children’s happy, smiling faces and seeing them reach their full potential.

Mrs Mel Gould
Deputy Nursery Manager

I have worked at Burlish Park Primary School as part of the Nursery team for 20 years. I qualified as a Nursery Nurse when I was 18 and I love working with our fantastic Early Years department.

My favourite time in Nursery is sharing stories with the children. I also enjoy listening to all of their stories.

When I’m not at Nursery, I enjoy cooking, walking my dog and spending time away in my caravan.

Mrs Bella Sivyer

I joined the Nursery team in September 2021. I have previously worked in a school with Reception age children and thoroughly enjoyed helping them grow and develop.

Whether it be giving them guidance, or just making them laugh, I love to create a happy environment. I believe that the early stages of childhood are crucial in allowing children to become the best versions of themselves.

I am a proud mum of two girls and when I’m not running around with them (and having lots of movie nights) I can usually be found catching up with family and friends over some nice coffee and plenty of cake!

Mrs Lynda Williams
Forest School Leader

I have been employed at Burlish Park for the past ten years as a qualified Level 3 Forest School Leader. Within our school grounds we have an amazing  magical Forest School, which is loved by all our children

The area was created when we moved into our new build school with the help of parents,  our PTA, volunteers and £12,000 from Tesco Bags of help. This enabled us to build an amazing outdoor classroom with log burner to keep us warm in the winter

In my spare time I love gardening, walking and spending time with my 6 young grandchildren.

Miss Lucy Allsop

I’ve been working as a childcare practitioner since 2015. I started as a level 2 apprentice and after this, stayed on to complete a level 3 childcare qualification within a Nursery.

I have recently joined the team at Burlish Park Primary School, wanting to take on a new adventure. I really enjoy helping the children develop and learn ready for school.

In my spare time I enjoy going on holiday and exploring new places. I am also a huge fan of Disney films!

Mrs Lisa Roberts

I have worked within Early Years settings since I qualified from college back in 2008. I’ve been a part of the Burlish Team for 10 years now and love working in Nursery. It’s very special to be a part of helping the children in our care to learn & grow ready to begin their school life.

My favourite areas include: Arts & Crafts, Messy Play, engaging in imaginative play and promoting a love of books and reading. Outdoor Learning is great fun also.

Outside of nursery, I enjoy taking my little boy on outside adventures, being creative and reading. We love going to the library and watching the lastest Disney movies too!

Miss Danielle Cooper

I qualified in Early Years in 2006 and enjoyed my time working in a Nursery setting.

I’ve been part of the Burlish team since 2018, working as a Teaching Assistant and a Lunchtime Supervisor.

I’m very excited to be joining the Nursery team and seeing the children learn through play.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my own three children.
